All three models support BYOAI, usage-based billing or BYOAI with optional backup through DevSense billing.

Model usage

Platform and usage are purchased separately

Choose who manages AI provider accounts. Both options are available across all three service models.

BYOAI: your own keys

Bring Your Own AI means using API keys from your own AI provider accounts.

DevSense performs the work using those keys. Usage is charged to your accounts.

Your organization pays each provider directly.

Usage-based billing

Use the service without supplying your own keys.

DevSense records model usage and bills it according to consumption and agreed commercial terms.

Your organization receives billing from DevSense.

Supported providers

  • AnthropicClaude
  • OpenAI
  • GeminiGoogle

Usage and cost control

Usage and costs by project, model and stage

Review AI usage alongside execution volume, quality and duration. From project performance to individual calls, all within DevSense.

Measure project performance

Compare executions, duration and rework by period and repository. See which stages account for the most iterations and how outcomes change over time.

  • Execution volume and completed runs.
  • Quality and iterations by stage.
  • Filters for scope, dates and repository.

Multiple keys per provider

When one key is exhausted, continue with the next

Register multiple API keys per provider. When one runs out of balance or quota, DevSense uses the next available key. The sequence is managed separately for Anthropic, OpenAI and Gemini.

  1. 01

    First key

Work uses the available balance or quota.

  2. 02

    Next key

If the previous one is exhausted, work continues with another key from the same provider.

  3. 03

    Optional backup

If all keys are exhausted, your configured backup authorization applies.

Usage backup · Opt-in

Backup billing requires your authorization

Enable the switch from BYOAI to DevSense billing in advance to continue when a provider's keys are exhausted.

Using BYOAI does not activate this backup. Authorized usage is recorded and billed according to agreed terms.

No keys available

That provider's keys are exhausted.

Is backup enabled?
No

No backup charge

DevSense does not enable billing on its own.

Yes, in advance

Questions about service models

Is BYOAI a fourth service model?

No. It is a model usage option available with Cloud Enterprise, Self Hosted and Development Services.

What does the Self Hosted annual fee include?

It covers the platform. Model usage is paid through BYOAI or usage-based billing.

Can we commission development without operating the platform?

Yes. Intellicore operates DevSense under Development Services. Your team defines the need and reviews the result.

Does it switch providers automatically when a key is exhausted?

Key sequencing is managed within each provider. Backup through DevSense billing is used only if you enabled it in advance.

Who develops DevSense?

Intellicore is the company behind the product. Explore Intellicore.

How usage limits work

Does everyone have the same spending budget?

No. Monthly and cumulative spending thresholds are configured for the customer policy. Amounts and whether they trigger warnings or block new operations are agreed during implementation.

Does a threshold give a fixed price per requirement?

No. The control checks admission of new operations. Blocking prevents new operations when the threshold is detected; it does not reverse usage already incurred or turn a requirement into fixed-price work.

What happens when a key or subscription runs out?

You can register multiple keys per provider. The platform continues with the next available key. Switching to DevSense billing requires prior authorization; it is not enabled as an automatic backup without it.

What if development does not meet the criteria within its limit?

Execution stops and records the reason and remaining work. Available results are retained to assess continuation under the relevant policy; unverified scope is not reported as validated.
